The principle of pleasure

A
s it is not enough -

To simply conquer the kingdom of your heart
that I want to shake the foundations
- Of your soul.

Grief

Are there no more tears in heaven –
That even my soul cannot find a well of its relief.
Thus I am lost, wandering aimlessly.
Deliberating the penitence for my own mortality,
might that the humbleness find me
searching for my last
- Straw.

Savior

As she brings me light –
When all I have left to hold is darkness
Rapt within the wings of her salvation I am absolved,
thus I am held to the breast of compassion
as our tears mingle with
- Joy.

Humility

As we age with grace –
In order that we might die with glory.
That a soul’s enrichment is not to lie within gold
But in the humbleness and compassion
- Of it’s heart made so.

Snowflake

Single solitary angel of wing
sifting softly slowly sadly thou bring
Mine heart tumbling trembling tragically down
As thou makes thy journey
To the ground

Fleeting frozen feather of white
Doest thine heart shine in the sun with all his light
That a cloud of high did set thee free
Hast thou fallen from the sky into the heart
Of me

Wisps of whimsical wintry wind
Thou ridest ‘round mine head for thou doest spin
Powdery kisses perfectly placed
As thy lace is lilting ‘pon
My face

Touch tease tickle my nose
Lay soft ‘pon my tongue bittersweet ambrosia
Alas will my endearments warm I fear
Are to leave me to be holding what ‘tis only thy
- Tear

Moonbeam

Silver thread soft of night be so kind to me
And take my hand to promised lands and lead me to my dreams
Mother dear did tuck me here ‘neath cover safe to sleep
I place this wish ‘neath pillow plush that you tonight I meet
That as these shadows crawl ‘pon my wall may think I fear I might
Still I sleep within your keep ‘neath your love and light
Your blushing moon does make me swoon as does her soul impart
‘Neath starry skies realize you will always have my heart
Might ‘morrow rise tear in eye that I miss you e’en now
As my hope does rest ‘pon mothers breast
I will be with you ‘gain -
- Somehow

Mortality

Merciless thread of grace –
Why hast thou bound me to thy fate
that not e’en fair destiny can show me a just recourse.
Thus comes a day I will look back on today
knowing that tomorrow shall ne’er
- Come.

The last temptation

The last temptation

Forgiveness is a lonely heart –
Who lies awake at night looking up at the stars
thinking of all the things he didn’t say.
Whereas mercy is the lure of a long cold sleep
filled with endless skies
- Of darkness.
