Moonbeam

Silver thread soft of night be so kind to me
And take my hand to promised lands and lead me to my dreams
Mother dear did tuck me here ‘neath cover safe to sleep
I place this wish ‘neath pillow plush that you tonight I meet
That as these shadows crawl ‘pon my wall may think I fear I might
Still I sleep within your keep ‘neath your love and light
Your blushing moon does make me swoon as does her soul impart
‘Neath starry skies realize you will always have my heart
Might ‘morrow rise tear in eye that I miss you e’en now
As my hope does rest ‘pon mothers breast
I will be with you ‘gain -
- Somehow
